Editorial: DFM, Issue Three

HO, HO, HO! December is here, and Santa has dropped off six amazing gifts just for you and me! The third issue of Double Feature Magazine features a half-dozen of the best short stories from some of today’s most talented speculative fiction authors.

This month, Melinda Brasher, Josh Roseman, Mike Thorn, David J. Gibbs, D.A. D’Amico, and Kevin M. Folliard take us on adventures from rural Arkansas to distant planets. As always, we are thankful to each of these amazing authors for trusting us with his or her work. And, of course, the experience would not be complete without the incredible artwork of Toeken, featured on this month’s cover!

Gari Seldom once again shares his insight on science fiction. This month he reviews the graphic novel “Habitat” by Simon Roy, taking the opportunity to revisit an early Robert Heinlein novel.

I’m very excited about the selection of stories this month, and I think you will be, too. So snuggle up next to the fireplace, in the glow of the lighted tree, with a cup of hot cocoa and the December issue of DFM: ‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring—wait… there’s a creature, and it’s most definitely stirring...

Merry Christmas from DFM!
